Description
We’re making spirits bright at Yorktown’s beloved Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony!
Join us at Victory Monument at 6:30 p.m. for live holiday music, featuring a performance by The Fifes & Drums of York Town, before the joyful procession heads to Riverwalk Landing for the lighting of a towering 24-foot Tannenbaum. The evening wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, so be sure to stick around for some extra holiday cheer!
This cherished community tradition dates back to 1945, when a simple decorated cedar tree marked the start of the season. Thanks to the York County Historical Committee, the magic continues year after year, bringing generations together to celebrate the season.
