Commonwealth Insurance Center, proudly serving Hampton Roads since 1974, is seeking a Receptionist/ Customer Service Representative in our Main Williamsburg branch. Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing a warm and professional client experience to attract and retain clients. Key functions include the collection and exchange of information between the client and the agency, the carriers, and other business partners primarily using technology. Prospects and clients may communicate in person or remotely. Most of the duties of this position are time-sensitive. Hospitality is important as insurance is a relationship business. Priorities may rapidly shift throughout the workday, and the pace may be fast at times.
Primary Duties:
- Greet and acknowledge inbound clients and prospects from all platforms to determine need and route communications accordingly
- Crea transaction records, collect premium, close files, and perform other administrative activities in relevant systems
- Open, sort, scan, and route paper mail in accordance with procedures
- Monitor carrier reports and task alerts to account managers about needed actions
- Obtain and simultaneously enter into the agency management system all required information from clients or prospects to expedite assistance
- Communicate instructions to clients or prospects
- Set a pending task in the agency management system to follow up as needed
- Maintain complete and accurate data in systems
