Jessica Wakefield of Dark Light Portrait Studios recognized for superior image making and photographic service with a degree from Professional Photographers of America.

Williamsburg, VA September 24, 2026 – Jessica “Jess” Wakefield of Dark Light Portrait Studios in Williamsburg has earned the Master of Photography degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The degree will be presented to Ms. Wakefield by PPA president Makayla Harris, Cr. Photog., CPP at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, to be held in Charlotte, NC, in January 2027.

The Master of Photography degree is an achievement of the highest caliber. It means that Ms. Wakefield has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. She has been awarded this degree in recognition of her superior photographic aptitude demonstrated through image excellence, advanced education, and service to the profession.

Ms. Wakefield’s degree—and all the expertise it requires—illustrates her accomplishments and talent as one of a select few.

Ms. Wakefield currently owns and operates Dark Light Portrait Studios in Williamsburg and is a member of PPA and Virginia Professional Photographers Association. She specializes in portraits of women, teens and tweens.
